Healing Begins Below the Surface

Anxiety, trauma, grief, depression, relationship struggles, and life transitions often have deeper roots. Together we'll work to understand your story, calm your nervous system, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Trauma Therapy

Trauma can affect far more than memories. It can leave you feeling constantly on edge, disconnected, emotionally overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. You may find yourself struggling with anxiety, anger, relationship difficulties, people-pleasing, emotional numbness, or feeling as though your nervous system is always preparing for the next crisis.

My approach to trauma therapy goes beyond simply talking about what happened. Together, we'll explore how past experiences continue to influence your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and body today. As you gain a better understanding of these patterns, you'll learn practical skills to regulate your nervous system, process difficult experiences, and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges.

Healing doesn't mean forgetting your past. It means understanding it, reducing its hold on your present, and creating the freedom to move forward with greater confidence, connection, and peace.

Couples Therapy

Every couple gets stuck. The same arguments repeat, communication breaks down, trust is damaged, and both partners begin to feel unheard, misunderstood, or alone.

Couples therapy is about more than resolving conflict—it's about understanding what is happening beneath the conflict. Together, we'll identify the patterns that keep you stuck, explore how each partner's life experiences shape the relationship, and develop healthier ways to communicate, repair, and reconnect.

Whether you're struggling with communication, trust, parenting, intimacy, conflict, or recovering after a betrayal, therapy provides a structured space to slow things down, understand one another more deeply, and move toward a healthier relationship. The goal isn't to decide who is right or wrong. It's to help both partners feel understood, strengthen emotional connection, and build a relationship that feels safe, respectful, and resilient.

Workshops & Speaking

Understanding mental health doesn't have to be complicated. Through engaging presentations and workshops, I help organizations, schools, businesses, churches, and community groups better understand how the brain, nervous system, trauma, grief, stress, and relationships affect everyday life.

My presentations combine practical neuroscience with real-world strategies that participants can begin using immediately. Topics can be customized for your audience and may include emotional resilience, stress management, trauma awareness, grief, anxiety, healthy relationships, communication, and mental wellness.

Whether you're looking for a keynote presentation, staff training, student workshop, or community event, my goal is to make mental health approachable, engaging, and practical while giving people tools they can use long after the presentation ends.

Teen & Young adults

The transition from adolescence into adulthood can be exciting, confusing, and overwhelming all at the same time. School, college, careers, relationships, family expectations, social media, and questions about identity can create stress that feels difficult to manage alone.

Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, grief, low self-confidence, emotional regulation, or simply feeling stuck, therapy provides a place to better understand yourself and develop practical tools for moving forward. Together, we'll explore what's getting in the way, strengthen your ability to manage emotions, and build confidence in making decisions that align with the person you want to become.

My goal is to create a space where you feel heard without judgment while helping you develop the skills and insight needed to navigate life's challenges with greater resilience, independence, and confidence.

Therapy wasn't my first career—it was my calling.

Before becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor, I spent seven years as a software engineer before serving as the CEO of a local business with more than 40 employees for over two decades. Those experiences taught me the value of leadership, communication, problem-solving, and understanding people from many different walks of life. They also gave me a unique perspective on stress, relationships, work-life balance, and the challenges people face both personally and professionally.

I've been married to my wife for over 24 years, and together we've been blessed with three amazing adult children. Family has always been one of the greatest influences in my life and continues to shape the way I approach relationships, growth, and healing.

Although I found success in business, I felt a growing desire to help people in a more meaningful way. That calling led me back to school to become a therapist. Since 2019, I've had the privilege of walking alongside individuals, couples, and families as they navigate trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and life's many transitions.
